Securing IT Infrastructure Against Attack
Abstract
Attacks against computing infrastructure are on the rise. A single
outbreak – Code Red – in 2004 did more than $2B in damage
to commercial enterprises. Attack frequency is on the rise and threat
types are becoming more diverse. Security products are projected to
be number two on the purchase priority list for IT this year and next.
This session will explore aspects of perimeter, system and data security
defenses.

Presenter Bio
Dr. Stowell is responsible for St.
Bernard Software's business development programs and product management.
He is responsible for the company’s product direction and strategic
relationships.
Prior to joining St. Bernard Software, Stowell held director and officer
level positions in several electronics and software companies. Former
responsibilities have included engineering, marketing and operations
management. Stowell received his academic degrees from Purdue University,
where he was subsequently appointed to the engineering faculty.
