Learn about EMC's latest storage technology: Centera and Fixed
Content
Thursday, February 20
6:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Join your colleagues at the next meeting of The San Diego Chapter of
the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), featuring Roland Feldmeier
of EMC. He'll be explaining
Fixed Content and how EMC uses node technology and massively parallel
computing clusters to manage hoards of data.
Did you know that the University of California estimates that we've
created more storable information in the last three years than in all
of previous human history? EMC's calls their approach to managing this
data "Centera", the subject of this presentation.
We will meet at 6:30PM at our new home: The La Jolla Executive Towers
at 4225 Executive Square next to the La Jolla Marriott at UTC. Parking
will be free. The meeting cost is $3 (free to chapter members) and is
open to the public. For more information, call (858) 452-8701 or visit
www.sdacm.org.
We are extremely pleased to have EMC's assistance for this event, and
very excited to have Mr. Feldmeier speaking.
